The Full Story

About

Nick has been passionate about bodywork since childhood, when a traumatic spine injury was treated with massage and other forms of holistic care. He became increasingly interested in the field of wellness and decided to attend massage school at 24. After graduating in 2011 from the Florida School of Massage in Gainesville, his first practice was offering the community free massage to the unhoused and other impoverished people for 6 months. Dedicated to expanding his knowledge base, Nick studied in both Eastern & Western styles, fusing the Wisdom of ancient healing techniques derived from places like Thailand, India, Russia, Norway, Korea, and Japan, as well as the clinical medical Western approach in areas of study such as Orthopedic, PT/OT, personal training, medical massage and sports based advanced stretching such as PNF & AIS. After a chance encounter with a child with cerebral palsy, Nick began looking at healing in a way that addresses the body from head to toe. Nick blends sessions with time tested cutting edge products that aid in chronic pain management such as CBD lotions and aromatherapy. A session at Cypress Bodywork is always notably different, summoning components of Neuromuscular Massage, Myofascial Release, Thai Massage and more. His passion is working with people with neurological disorders including Cerebral Palsy and Parkinson's.
